Is my artwork full bleed?

What exactly is full bleed and how can I tell?
When your printed business card, postcard or similar item is trimmed to size white edges can sometimes show due to the cutting process if it was printed without a full bleed. We avoid this by printing all paper products with a ‘bleed’. A bleed is created by having your design extend 1/8″ (0.125″) beyond the final trim size.

Example
Lets use a standard (3.5″ x 2″) business card as an example.
The background of the card should be 1/8″ (0.125″) larger on all 4 sides of the card.
The size of a business card with a full bleed is (3.75″ x 2.25″).
All of our free templates include a bleed for your convenience.

Remember to keep your text and all important elements a minimum of 1/8″ (0.125″) or they will be cut off during production.
